Not quite the same spirit as most of these, so I can remove if not appropriate.
This is also not my photo, but it probably the best shot I saw.

Rode to a big demonstration for safer streets, and it lined up with Chicago-henge.

Today was about enjoying two of the 80's steel rides I've been working on recently. Took both out for a little over 25 miles each.

I seem to only take pictures at coffee shops.

Today was about just cruising around on the Kirk Terraplane. This is such a sweet ride!

Just another day in paradise
70F, dry, sunny, most of the summer madness is past.
The Firefly folks make a wonderful bike.

These are from yesterday's ride on the sweet old C4 Air One.

This is typical of the main roads up here. 50/55 mph and a 6" shoulder.

Today I went back out on the 37 year old Team USA which is set up for light gravel duty...as long as it's pretty level. I was able to take this into some cool areas today to include the shore of the lake and an abandoned campground. Great ride today.

Same bike as yesterday but a much harder route up in the mountains to enjoy the colors. I figured I'd struggle with only a 42T small chainring on this and I did. But it was so worth it for the great view and such up there.

It had rained last night and early this morning so there was no dust but plenty of wet gravel roads. Rumor has it I may have even had to walk a time or two on the really steep stuff.

Weather starting out, this is about 1/2 mile from the house.

Starting into the mountains on the gravel section

The Bowery area, Scrub Oak colors are good but the Aspens really haven't changed yet.

Heading into another climb.

So beautiful, you can see a small section of the road below in the center of this shot.

Steep, loose downhills sections. The old Suntour Superbe brakes did just fine at allowing me to keep control.

Such a nice morning out

37 year old steel beast is still getting it done.

Getting ready to head out of the area.

Heading back home

A sure sign that fall is approaching here in central California: tarantula spotting!
