Took out the Davidson Impulse today for around 30 miles after the overcast skies burnt off.

A buddy sent me this photo taken at the Shootout here in Tucson...well, not The Shootout...the Old, Old, Man Shootout (the really slow guys!). I'd seen the photographer on the side of the road and though he was practicing taking photos on our group till the real Shootout came by. Not sure where my buddy got the photo but pretty cool to see it!
Grateful to be able to ride with a bunch of great people. |

Tested out the Pirelli Cinterato H in really fine gravel, really fine!
And found some really really big gravel to pose the bike on. 99 degrees PDX, low 60s on my very fine gravel ride...

you dog-darn New Englanders and Up State NY'ers
do you realize how good you have it? DO YOU??!!! you muff'ing sobbers, you have all of those dirt events in Vermont nearly every other weekend, from early spring to late fall !! you have "choose your own roller-coaster" routes right out your father-mockin' front doors, with wooded rural-, and tree-lined farmland roads undulating up and down and twisting and turning... ALL DOG-DARN DAY LONG !!! when i used to live in SW Mass, i would wake up in the morning, and it would take me a good 45 minutes to figure out in which direction i should start out for the day. and it would be a odd day if i went out for a 25 mile ride and only got one motorist passing by, yelling cheers of encouragement, while slogging and sweating up some incline it didn't even occur to me to drive anywhere to start a route, because there wasn't any need to. unless it was for an event. never occurred to me to go out with more than 2 small water bottles (one, 1/2 full), because there's a town every 10-15 miles. never occurred to me to put on sun block, because of all the shade best riding in the WORLD although i've never been to the Carolinas or that area at all. Lavi,, I have your original Kirk and it is perfect in every way. What, on earth, made you sell the brand new replacement? I just don't get it! Thanks, Dave

Perfect weather in the Adirondacks the past few days after some seriously muggy hot weeks!
