Our usual Wednesday gravel ride took us up a little used forest road in the Mt Hood forest then dropped us out at Trillium Lake.

1. Just starting the 13mile climb

2. It's an out 'n back ride of approx 40miles, 35 of which are gravel. This is the turnaround point, Trillium Lake with Mt Hood in the distance

3. Approximately midway up the climb you get a glimpse of Mt Hood's peak through the trees

4. Post ride eats/drinks at Joe's Donuts in Sandy OR

My 8 year old son and I rode the John Wayne trail up to Snoqualmie Pass and back, a couple weeks ago. At 51 miles, it was our longest tandem ride.

Excuse the un-synced cranks. Dropped a chain shortly before this photo and didnt line em up.

northbend led a ride up to Paradise Lodge at Mt. Rainier a few weeks back. 85 miles and 9000-something feet of uphill. A great ride, definitely a tough one though.

40 instead of 80... But I guess that's still 40 better than 0

This cat who was on the World Famous Montrose Ride asked me to take a few shots of him for his thousand plus Insta followers. Then he graciously took a pic of me.

We're both lucky to be alive. The 80 plus peloton was averaging about 32mph w/ a crosswind on the bridge where the pic was taken. Oh, it was 97 degrees today.
