it's possible the internet's mega algorithm has got me cornered, but this literally just came across my feed. LOL. I'm being watched.

Kinda funny how old, clapped-out versions of things sell for a premium on "that site"

Changewater, NJ

There are several interesting cut stone structures remaining that supported a railroad track, beginning in the 1800s, across the Musconetcong River in Changewater. They are huge, about 50 feet tall (added vintage photo). Over in Hampton spotted a very nice T'bird.

High Bridge & Clinton, NJ

The side by side 150 foot tunnels are in High Bridge, one is for vehicles the other is for the South Branch of the Raritan River. The very photographed red mill is in Clinton. Btw, there is a bike shop tucked away and hidden by bridge next to the mill, terrific owners (Clinton Bike Shop).

Good shots!

The mill has a cute little museum inside run by some really nice folks too.

Haven't posted over here in a while

43 hilly miles with my wife in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia

Longbranch Plantation - A historical site today but a slave-worked plantation before the Civil War:

The new-to-me Kirk with an upgraded wheelset - I was going to do this in the winter, but decided to pull the trigger. The previous wheelset was an inexpensive bike-shop purchase with a heavy 36-spoke beast in the rear due to supply chain issues in late May and early June.

On the grounds at Longbranch:

Ludington State Park/Lake Michigan

Did 51 miles on my Moots today from Michigan's most popular state park to Pentwater and back. Some challenging hills and beautiful views of dunes, streams and Lake Michigan. Used to live there and really miss riding there.

On Cape Cod visiting my sisters this weekend after a week dayhiking in the NH White Mountains with my wife and our pup. Boy, descending 4,000 feet or more on a hike is a lot tougher on my old bod than doing it on a bike!

Google Maps took me on a bit of dirt road today and hitting the sandy patches on the 25mm GP5000 tires on the Firefly reminded me that wider tires have some advantages

Nothing special today, just a couple of pics I grabbed of the new to me Kirk Terraplane as I took it out for a 27 mile test run. What a bike!

Not as clear as normal, the smoke from western fires is creeping into the area again.

James, apparently I am not the only one with a new-to-me Kirk (scroll back a few posts). Mine is a super smooth and comfortable ride, and judging from your post, yours is as well. I have two steel road bikes: this Kirk, and an Alliance by Erik Rolf. They both have super smooth and very comfortable rides. Thanks for the post. Dave
