Yikes! Those rims are toast!
Curious if they exhibited some smaller cracking prior to the pull out or if this was out of the blue?

Lots of perfect weather in NJ, plus with rain here and there, has made everything very lush and the corn is growing fast. I especially enjoy small roads with dappled light.

How to ride a Moots …
A buddy of mine did the ALC ride and really upped the ante…
Not usually a fan of red cycling apparel, but sometimes you need to be fierce. Last edited by XXtwindad; 06-20-2022 at 02:49 PM. |

PSA Though: seems your homie is a toxic sweat'r -- the corrosion on the TT and the disintegrating bar tape are tell-tale signs.. Some folks just seem to have more caustic sweat than others. I'd recommend some maintenance and checking the bars (especially is alloy) and shifter clamps. |

Did a 40 miler this morning south of San Luis Obispo around the Nipomo Mesa and back through Pismo Beach before returning home. For once I got the winds and heat right. Beautiful day today.

Suffering in 88F heat at 60% humidity, at 9am.
I know of 3 trees that provide shde on this 40-60 mile route and that white gravel isnt doing any favors. Tons of alligators though as its all rice fields with canals. |

Perhaps a dumb question (for the non-Floridians) are alligators prone to attacking cyclists? Alligators never ranked high on my list of concerns.

They are trained to only eat Specialized bikes and those who are on them
