Amen. I feel so very thankful for the roads we have around here! I may hit Skyline again today and drop the zoo/rose garden.

Not 'from' my ride but just before I headed downstairs from my shoebox in the sky to start my ride, I snapped this, this morning.

This is a more fun descent, atmo. With shallow grades, a bit o' gravel, and quiet roads to get your from Hewett to the start of it..

Love seeing and hearing about your rides!
Happy to show you around when the time is right.. and there are plenty of beautiful and interesting rides close-in that don't require an insane amount of climbing - or super steep pitches.

That would be a dam spillway. A dam apparently Gothy puts a lot of faith in

I will eventually take you up on that.. riding regularly here in the Bay Area should help get me in shape by the time we move there in 13 or 14 months..

I took the Coppi out this morning for a lazy ride with lots of stops to take pictures. All shots taken along my normal daily route.

Water level is quite low due to the drought:

Pelicans getting in a morning snack or two:

Major route into town is through the canyon in the background:

Oldest still operating saloon in Utah:

I love shooting the bikes against these wooden doors:

One of the local ski resorts:

Busy roads over here, LOL!

The beginning of a 22 mile climb that I sometimes due:

I'm really digging this bike, it a bit stiff, very responsive, yet not uncomfortable. At one point I ran it up to almost 29 mph and then held it above 25 for about a mile. That's with me not using my inhaler so HR hit 171 and I was wheezing bad. I only slowed for curves because I was really pedaling pretty easy to hold the high speed once I got it up there.

For all the Yellowstone fans, the road running up the mountain in the background is where they filmed the "take 'em to the train station" scene in season one. They shot up there a few times in the early seasons.

Last longer ride before VT adventure in a week, 76 miles around the Rock. Looking north to Woods Hole there were a bunch of boats fishing at the reef, must be good fishing!
