Is it still closed to car traffic, and for how much longer?
Thanks

Saw this little calf just sleeping in the field... and I had to show my rocking the Paceline cap!

It usually opens to cars the third Monday in June. But snow is predicted down to 4500 feet on Saturday night!

your skies were certainly prettier. Jealous.

As an aside I rode part of the way up 3 Creeks to get some more climbing for the day, but man that descent on that road surface is just more brutal than ever. Felt like the whole bike was going to fall apart.

3 Creeks is in worse shape than ever. The frost cracks are killer all the way into town.

Checked out the Easton (PA) Twilight Criterium. Good restaurant scene, good ice cream. Course was .8 miles downtown so riders came by very quickly.

If you can ride it during the week after the barrier is opened, cars no trouble fyi.

7/9/2021 Friday, only few cars passed me going up, none descending of course. I had gone down in June when barrier was closed and DOT was doing work and turned me back. I even showed up @ 6:00 am next day hoping to beat the crew start of day and closure, plan didn't work.

Same thing happened to me last year before the gate opened (getting turned back by ODOT at 6:00 a.m.). I live in Sisters so I do this ride often.

I wished I'd thought to also bring 47x650b wheels. My 700c 30mm Strada Biancas in the sands NW of Sisters was no fun on 30mm. But a few rides from town to the barrier and other tooling around was still nice..
