Hunterdon County (NJ) between rain drops

37F this morning, ridiculous! Rain around and even some snowflakes. The tree carvings have been diminished by beetles unfortunately.

Roebling's 1904 suspension bridge at Riegelsville, NJ

The Riegelsville Bridge is a 577 foot suspension bridge crossing the Delaware River at Riegelsville, NJ connecting it with Riegelsville, PA. On today's ride there were signs of flooding on the roads on both sides of the Delaware, muddy and wet sections, from heavy rain a few days ago.

Throwback photo of my Paris Roubiax Challenge ride. I slept 30 minutes the night prior and my heart averaged 160bpm for the entire 100 mile ride. It rained just before the forest of Arenberg. Memories.

Did you by any chance ride the towpath (PA side) north or south? There were sections that were in pretty bad shape the last time I was there but I haven't done any recon lately.

Thanks,
Bob

I was road riding but I stopped at the general store in Upper Black Eddy. People on the towpath that started in Easton headed south said it was a mess in places.

This popped up as a FB memory...
Such a great picture.
April 12 2014.. The first Gator Roubaix in the Florida Everglades.
Sweet bikes here.

Pre Gravel-Boom.

I remember trying to get our roadie friends to come do the event.. they said "that's stupid".. lol.

A great event:
30 miles road / 30 miles gravel / 25 miles road / finish at the Brian Piccolo Velodrome and crush a bunch of high octane Belgian beers.
