A blustery 31 miles yesterday. Spring just doesn't seem to be able to take hold from old man winter here in Michigan. Been cold and wet. Probably my fewest miles by this date in years but was nice to get out. Lake Michigan views.

A quick 20mi ride to test out the new build. Finally built after a few months. New wheels should be here today!

^^^^ That TIME looks hot!

Greyer day today than expected, but good to get the legs turning anyway.

Great photos.

Just out of curiosity: Bolinas seems to straddle the line between gravel bike and MTB. You find it more enjoyable on a gravel bike?

It depends which part of Bolinas ridge you ride. I had a buddy ride the entire thing on his vintage aero Rensho. The bigger question really is what to ride to get out there which maybe more important since Boridge is only like 11 miles or 7 miles (cannot remember).

50mi of mixed surface. Some gravel, some rural paved, and some paved paths.

Nice spring day with little wind.

I’m thinking the way to do it on a gravel bike would be to start at the Olema trailhead and ride the ridge to BoFax road, descending back on Highway 1 to Olema. I haven’t done any of the connector trails (Shafter, McCurdy) so I don’t know how doable they are on a gravel bike. I’m assuming a MTB would be better.

But you have much more experience in that area than I do.

That’s a horrible to do it. IMHO but YMMV.

What’s the better way to do it if you want to include the Ridge in a loop?
