Route courtesy of merckxman here. Some new NJ roads for me. Who knew we had a little observatory tucked in at the top of a nice little climb. It's cool how I am discovering new places in the little state.
And how about the cool little church getting a rehab.

Glad you enjoyed the route. The wooden church is new construction, it's a Romanian church of the type from Transylvania, see: https://www.woodenchurchnj.com/
I believe it will be the only one of its kind in the USA. The observatory belongs to the NJ Astronomical Association, see http://www.njaa.org/ Quote:

The climbing was pretty solid, especially for NJ.

It looks like you started in Long Valley or somewhere close to that? Damn I knew it was hilly that way but not that bad!

A prairie burn... dinosaurs... a bit of snow.
All in a wintry (33 ℉) late March ride.

Thx! Was gonna ask if the bike feels sluggish on tarmac but I recon it’s not seeing much with this set-up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I noticed you are using a frame pump. What brand/model is it? I'm looking to replace a noisy Zefal. Thanks. Guess I'd better include a ride pic to satisfy the OP. |

The pump is a new Silca Impero. They're expensive, but can be found on sale, and are practically the last game in town these days for real frame pumps.

It does not feel sluggish at all. It sees pavement nearly daily that connects to paths and trails. The g one all around roll nicely and corner more like a road tire than a mtb tire, but the knobs are too tightly spaced for confidence on single track at high speeds, IMO, especially cornering. They are aptly named but since I need them in technical single track situations I’ll be going back to the Rutlands I had on before.
