Nice. I would love- in this thread or a separate one- to hear about your experience with VeloBuild. I like that they provide a layer between overseas factory direct and the consumer with a warranty, but still have low prices. I obviously wouldn't expect *amazing* quality but has the frame been solid? Thanks!

For the price, I can't complain. Approx 400 for frame/fork/headset, 50 for custom paint, and 50 for shipping. Quoted turnaround time for painting and shipment was very accurate. Packing was thorough.

Complaints? Few. It didn't ship with plastic internal cable guides. A question about the custom paint asked after the order was placed went unanswered. Requires 160 rear brake rotors.

How does it ride? Loving it. 500 miles logged. Comfy (relative to my Klein and Tsunami AL frames) but still frisky.

So, I got out yesterday for one of the first possible times, and tried to replicate the Molly Ringwald bike-in-front-of-fabulous-vista shot. Sort of.... The west coast of New England isn't looking quite as spring like just yet

My Lynsky cross is in the foreground, a totally frozen Lake Champlain in front of the Adirondacks in the background. I was cooling down fast enough to not linger for a better shot.

What were you riding?

The bumpy junk roads in the last 20 miles seemed super hard to deal with. I was so tired by that point and my palms were pretty sore.

I was on a white Blue Norcross with blue accents (brakes, tape, etc.).

Started this thread two years ago....have had the parts for 7 weeks, but we are still moving into a new (to us) home. So, I have been spending a little time here and there. Finished it for the most part this am. Saddle and headset are placeholders. Need a new clamp for the seatpost to accept larger rails. I have a Inset 7 on its way to replace the Cane Creek 40. Stem may/most likely will change. I was planning on putting Handlebra on here, but couldn't get ahold of Ray...would still like to at some point, so Lizardskin it is for the time being.

If money was no object this would be a JKS/X and not a Salsa, but I'm not complaining...and this build would have taken an additional 2 years
