Who are you hearing as commentators?

All week I've been watching live in the mornings and I've heard Ant McCrossan and a European woman.

Today I tuned in and the race seemed to be over, and I couldn't rewind. I switched from my smart TV to my Roku, and when I opened the race, it started from the beginning. However, I heard Phil Ligget and an American (or Canadian) woman.

Still fu to watch, but what a change. Is it Ant live and Phil for the replay?

Ant for the streaming-only midweek and Phil for the televised weekend races.

I think the female voice with Phil this morning was former American rider Megan Guarnier.

Props to Megan for giving props to Vos. Marianne worked hard to bring the women’s TdF back.

For a while when Fenix-Deceuninck was Plantur-Pura it was like, 'us against them' - crossers v roadies - the team was originally almost all cyclocross racers. There's still an element of that all across the women's peloton (and you have to reckon, the men's).

I remember watching Yara Kastelijn at Flèche Wallone a couple years ago, at the front, chasing down breaks when she wasn't trying to go off the front herself, and I thought, there's no bloody way her DS could keep up with that!

And it dawned on me then that cyclocross racers inevitably have more personal initiative than pure road racers - they do what they do on their own because although they have teammates, it's not a team sport compared to road racing.

I've often thought Blanka Vas in particular might have suffered from that - I truly believe SD Worx-Protime's best strategy at team briefings should be, 'Blanka's riding with us today - just let her do her own thing and don't get in her way.'

I was never really a Demi fan, she doesn't seem like a fun person to ride with like the rest of the peloton, but she is no doubt the best all around rider.

I am really routing for her today - I would like to see her take the yellow before Pauline wins it next year. 😂

Well, Vollering won it last year. And maybe you mean Anna rather than Pauline?

I feel the same. She'd be in yellow if not for the crash and the pathetic aftermath. Sorry to see Faulkner drop off yesterday though. Hoping Puck can podium too!

Phil really isn't helpful.
He says the yellow jersey group is closing the gap while they are still descending and Vollering and Rooijakkers are on the climb ahead.

I've just watched the two weekend stages. They are absolutely brutal together. Sound like they are presiding over a funeral. The monotone is painful to listen to, even when there are attacks.

Interesting. Can’t ask for much more than multiple possible overall winners as the last climb commences.

A little confused by Realini sitting on, on this climb. Why isn’t she going harder, if she can? Demi’s getting more help from her companion than Kasia is from hers, but I would think Gaia would go for the stage unless she’s just not feeling good enough.

Holy cow.

Evita rode her wheel and then stole that bonus. Almost made the difference.

Why there were time bonuses on this climb, I don’t know.
