In between lights they sure jump out fast.
They sure do. Took my friends Specialized e-bike around the block before our ride last weekend… that jump with ‘turbo’ is not too far from what I’d do with an out of the saddle sprint start.

But then again I’m old and feeble…

And to dovetail with the other thread about pelotons/dangerous riding on the bike paths… as has been mentioned here before, a lot of the e-bike users are relatively new to cycling and those 15-20 mph speeds on your typical bike path (several walkers and other cyclists around) is just nuts.

I thought that bike was a unicorn, but unless I’m mistaken, the Trek Domane (sorry bout that) Madone e-bike gives it a run for the money ( actually less money ).

Need to do more research ( not that I’m getting one anytime soon).

Still loving mine!

Well, unless they…🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻

Are you referring to a first generation Creo? Or something else?

No, that. I believe I bought the last S Works Creo Turbo online. It’s the red to black fade. The next generation is much heavier, focused on GROAD. The version I have is much more road focused, hence the lighter weight.

The only bike I see as a comparison is the $13,000 Trek with Dura Ace. And, in one way, it’s a bit better for road as its gearing is 2 x 12. If I ever do decide to part with my SWorks, I’d seriously consider getting the Trek ( even though I’ve been using SRAM wireless from its inception.)

A very large bicycle manufacturer that is not Trek or Specialized or Cannondale is going to soon be announcing a series of lightweight road and all-road (separate models) ebikes that will scratch the road-going Creo SL itch.

Two pounds isn't a big deal on an ebike. You have to compare power and battery size in watt hours. The Fazua Ride 60 with it's 430 Wh battery and 250-450 watt motor is impressive. The Cervelo Rouvida weight is on the low side, even with Rival, and aluminum stem and crank arms. You pay dearly to save a pound or two. With lighter BTLOS 29mm deep wheels, mine weighs 28 pounds without pedals.

What used to be Fezzari bikes is now Ari. They have a Fazua equipped bike that can be bought with a frame, motor and crank only. The geometry is more gravel than road, like the skitch.

Well, I road my first fat tire e-bike today. Wow, 20+ miles an hour and barely pedaling with tires wider than my first car had. Crazy fun. Forget the brand, it was only about 1500 according to owner. In nice weather he uses it all the time, goes about 20-30 miles a day and rarely uses car anymore. I’d rather see fleets of these things on the road than all the big trucks I see.
