I found this Colorado III in the back of the shop while looking for a pair of wheels for the latest project. I'd almost forgotten about it. Not a fade, but it's blue and silver.
Interesting to see all the Coors Light bikes posted. I'll have to get mine outside for a photo. Hope that StephenCL will post his CL bikes as well as a Sierra Nevada or two. |

In 1994, I hosted Greg Orovitz for some spring crits in the Southeast. He brought his Coors Light Serotta. Len P sent kits to the house for Greg and Gary Mulder. His bike had campy ergo with the right shifter being a Sachs (made by campy) and a sizeable dent in the top tube. We went for rides and a few times swapped bikes and he rode my Litespeed while I rode the Serotta. It was a very solid ride but the shifting was annoying. IIRC, the Sachs branded stuff was shimano spaced for 8 speed.

2001 CSi with an F1 fork and TdF lugs that was sourced and built with the help of a couple of Paceliners...Campag 10-speed parts courtesy of my parts bin. One of the most nimble and best handling bikes that I’ve ever owned. |

The fleet….
Seeing all these nice builds might get me motivated to line up my fleet of Serotta, Dave Kirk & Kelly Bedford bikes for a family picture😉

Fair enough, haven't read the whole thread, but I'm reminded of the fact that when I joined it was the Serotta Forum, Jack Brunk was in top form and the discussion was about road bikes and race bikes. It's nice looking a a collection of old bikes, but this simply does not reflect where the forum is at.
Of course, unless you need to debate the merits of Shimano v SRAM v Campagnolo once per year the news gets a bit stale, too. Times they change, and I have less interest in whether a 35 or a 42c tyre is right for me and no interest whatsoever in whether electronic shifting is right for a gravel bike. What happens in the sales department reflects this shift also.

If I remember properly, you're going to need a pretty wide angle lens.

It was this forum that turned me on to Serotta. I ain't parting with either of mine. The best part of this forum is the chance to get more of them muahah.
I love this bike so much. The purple is dope, came with a painted frame pump and it rides so, so nicely. Rocks corners with precision, is comfy like nothing else for long/all day rides. I have Nova Special X that I really like as well that fits 32mm that's now my commuter/trainer steed. |
