Upvote. When my wife's cleats go out, I don't know what I'm going to do. She will NOT switch to SPD.

Me too on the Frog pedals and cleats.
I unclip on steep descents riding fixed.
They were so easy in and out.
My spd’s make me sound like the tin man.

Lucky you, living within walking distance of Clean.

Ahh! Too funny, ok gotcha on that one.

Couple of 00’s I’m picking up.

Have a white Aliante left in the bin thats been there a loooong time. Although a few months back I scored a combo white and black, NOS model with kium rails. Its sweet.

Kinda painful when getting a tandem—-it takes 2 saddles at a time!

Someone already said Frog pedals and cleats.

Rhode Gear Cabretta Plus gloves. The best ever.

3TTT 4Girls bars. Narrow and shallow with short reach.

Avocet 40W and 40M saddles.

When component manufacturers release a new gruppo, they delete the previous version. Of course, that's because they want you to buy the new stuff. But I would love to have the chance to buy Red ETap 11 speed. I don't need 12 gears .

Some of you guys need to look into SOMA bike store. They sell copies of discontinued saddles.

Mine might be the 1up USA CPR-A2000 trainer.

I hadn't used mine in a while, but wanted to do a FTP test, so pulled it out of the basement last night. Greased the balls, mounted the bike up, and it's just as smooth and quiet and perfect as it ever was. Just a great product. Light, well-engineered, user-serviceable. I know smart trainers are all the rage, and surely it didn't make sense to continue it... but boy, it is a great trainer.
I have one of these stuffed somewhere in a closet. Is there any worthwhile resale market for these things?

There are other similar Sigma computers that are wireless. This requires an extra battery for the speed sensor (and another for a cadence sensor if used), but makes installation quicker and cleaner.
How good was/is the altitude gain function? I haven't seen a bike computer, including the GPS enabled ones, come close to the Avocet 50's accuracy for this. I still have two (I believe) functional Avocet 50s but the mounts/wiring failed and I switched to Garmin Edge computers.

Non-tubeless clincher rims for ease in mounting tubed tires (rumor or fact?).

Cytomax. They sold out and it was discontinued.

Certainly the Fizik alloy seat posts. Those are the best.

Rim brake mechanical 11 speed stuff, like R8000.

Although I never got around to getting a set, SRAM Red WiFli 11 speed 2x eTap electronic. Thought seriously about putting this on my travel bike, but SRAM had already stopped making some of the group.

Seven 5e straight 1-1/8" forks. Best straight steerer tube fork out there.

Oh, and Bell Biker helmets.

Despite my snark, we’ve never had it so good. Except with, perhaps, tubular tires. I’m not being snarky. Except for my somewhat rare use case, I’m not sure we’ve bettered 1980s or 1990s or 2000s tubular tires. Seriously.

I moved away from them for a reason and I don’t look back in anger or with regret but they were the best tires I’ve ever used. Period. Especially Veloflex. So many tens of thousands of miles of superb rides. I’d go back but we can’t really do that, now can we.
