Dynaplug tubeless tire plug kit... pricey but seems very well made.... pretty slick and compact. I haven't tried it out yet but I have a tendency to slash tires on the dirt bike and carry Kevlar thread and leather sewing needles.

Homemade
Actually l made it in machine shop, my guide for cutting fork steer tubes.
Used to clamp in a vice but for some reason found it works better, or at least just as well, clamped to the bench. |

sorry if this was discussed in pages back - anybody have any favorites on a rolling tool chest ? I want something to store not just bike tools but also general tools. It will be in a one room cabin out in the open so want it to not look terrible. A work surface on top would be nice. I would like it to not be flimsy but I can not pay for Snap On or anything of that ilk.
Something along the lines of one of these 46" rolling chests I think would fit the bill in terms of size and form. There are just a lot of options to choose from going from $200 to a few hundred more to the really expensive stuff. PS - if anyone is near NYC and has one they don't want, let me know! |

Looked at the Harborfreight ones, they are not bad but just not nice enough for me to pull the trigger. I did get the impression though that the wider ones were of better quality at HF. My local Costco has this one: My wife was all over it because she liked the look much better than the red, blue or black ones you can get at HD, Lowes etc. Too wide for me though. Might be worth to check them out. Cheers, GS |

Take into account cabinet depth, especially if wall space is limited. Cubic volume capacity is dramatically different between a 18" vs. 24" deep cabinet.
If you're patient on Ebay or Craigslist (or have a fat wallet), Lista & Vidmar cabinets are far superior to most tool truck brands and less costly. |

More oomph and much handier than my old Dremel.
