If you liked previous Mavic alloy products…
…there are a ton of them being dropped at fire sale prices on the open market.
Open Pro 36’s, Open Elite 32’s, UST’s, etc. Just laced up a new set of touring wheels for the Davidson: A319’s, Sapim stainless DB race spokes and Ultegra 6800 hubs. Pretty bombprooof double eyeletted wide-ish wheels for 38’s. Rims were under $70 for the pair.
