People are so queerly butt-hurt over this, but like you said, in real life, I'm always jazzed to see someone on something unique; variety is the spice of life, and better than an morass of Cannondale/Specialized/Trek.

Pragmatically, I'd rather be on some "unknown" thing, since it results in fewer weekend warriors riding up my ass, and there's a real difference in the Bay Area when you're riding a fluorescent yellow Emonda, rest assured. For whatever reason, that bike is like telling people, "game on", when all I want to do is ride in peace.

That's a lot of butt metaphors :/

The autofill feature on MS paint

In all seriousness, would love to see some of his work from the last decade or so in the wild. Been a while

The price? It's an iconic brand, take the $$ if you can get it. No craftsman should have to justify the cost of their work to folks who may or may not hypermile a prius. Lawyers, doctors, finance guys and realtors don't have to continually justify what they charge...

Too salty for you? Lots of options

Appears to be TIG, likely same crew (I believe Andy Keech), as the Titanium bikes. Would make a lot more sense from a production standpoint. I don't think anyone other than the ex Serotta folks (Kirk, Wages, Bedford) does brazed or lugged disc bikes that I've seen.

At least Cherubim and Rex mix brazed construction with discs. Bilenky and Rock Lobster probably also do or would if you asked.

Paul will 100% braze, but it drives the cost up significantly

Tigged using the same tubes that are lugged when used in a CSi. The ride was the same.
