I like.
I think they look pretty slick. Trying to decide if I should get something like this. My main commute is about 1.2 miles but 650 ft elevation gain. Not really a fun bike commute unless I go a roundabout way to get legs warmed up before climbing. I’ve stretched it out to 23 miles in the past which makes a nice workout. But, need to be in road by 535 to get to work I on time I’d thought of the eeyo bike by gogoro, a Korean company who began with scooters.
The LeMond looks nice, but so does the eeyo. Eeyo has advantage of belt drive which is nice for a commuter. And a pretty slick docking charge system. Not sure how much assist I’d get from the motor to make that climb easier. I think I’d need to test one. Jon |

The logo could be projected below the bike, onto the riding surface, by lasers.

After all the big talk about being dopey n racing why does he have to throw his name on an Ebike?
The bike does look expensive. I know it's a commuter but still it only puts out a measly 250watts for a 46 mile range. Is the target audience for this bike those that remember Lemond?...Yeah that older generation. |

if you were commuting on an upright bar bike, would you care...
if was super light weight, made out of carbon, and had non-adjustable carbon bar/stem combo? it does look cool but maybe a small niche product for the well-off hi tech San Francisco person working at salesforce.com. and more power (250 watts) to those guys.

LeMond's creative director is the creator of Bernard. Such a good move for them to hire him.
Can't wait to see what else they have cooking! |

These look really cool and I like the designs. Good for Lemond. Hopefully he's chosen better business partners this time.
Focusing on reducing weight is a smart move - ebikes are popular with seniors, and my mom complains constantly about the weight of her Spesh Turbo Como (even though she loves it). Pricing seems in-line with a lot of other e-bikes, which just aren't that cheap yet. My main objection - Hub motors do look better aesthetically for now, but bottom bracket designs are more practical. Removing the rear wheel on this hub motor design requires wrenches, a work-stand, and patience. Not something I'd want to fix a flat on while stuck on the side of the road. As for the rackmounts, hasn't bikepacking gear proven you don't need them anymore? |

Why can't LeMond actually create a successful bike/company?
First some weird carbon limited release that combined two pieces of Time frames into a weird geometry, that took forever for dealers to sell. Then the 'Washoe' which looked like a bunch of random spare tubes joined together, and as best I can tell was a total failure. Now a $4500 cruiser bike, brilliant.... With his name, and Lances downfall, you'd think he could have made a high quality straightforward carbon bike line. |
