That is such a deflating post. They look awesome..well, with air in them, but too many stories relating to reliability and tread separation make me nervous.

But man they ride sweet. Sooo sweet.

They really do.

Was back on carbon rims with Vittoria Elites for last night's ride. Uhg... not that again

(and that was what made me remember that homeboy's question never got answered in the tread separation thread)

No pics... two mates BAILED the morning of, and one started an hour late (and therefor an hour behind me)..... and I dont do selfies. Nor standing around taking pics like a tourist. At least when there's people around.

Add 12 minutes and 3 miles.... forgot to start till we got to the bottom of the first climb

Not my best performance.. but totes respectable, for de Ronde.

Tomorrow will be worse.... (another 50 miles and 8,000', on the other side of town)

KRhea - tell your wife I wasn't doubting her directions.... I just really really wanted to make sure I understood. BTW - still totally want to rap with you about Team Fairweather. Obviously isn't happening this season, but next season for sure

Echo Park, one of America's hippest hoods. Kids move here for this:

LA, Top 3 Ugliest Built Environments. Category: Major American City

Buy the home next door for $800,000 USD

Well, there is some natural beauty

LA's Neolithic population lived from the water in this arroyo. Yum!

Hay, remember those creepy Viper leg pics. This one is creepier!

More creepz

Thanks for reading!

Hey, Keith. That's the Miele which I intended to use at Eroica. NOS 6/7s Suntour Cyclone (which may have been the stock group in 87). The front end has zero compliance and the frame flexes if you blink at it but turns out the bike is great for mixed dirt rides.

Here's a photo that really captured an entire trip:

We spent the week riding and hiking through Southern Utah. This photo is on one of the dirt roads that radiate away from the Burr Trail.

Belgian Waffle (Wafer) Ride Sunday in San Marcos CA. An old friend I did the short course, 70 miles w/ 22 miles of dirt sections. An excellent event, we had a great time.
