This has been in my stand for a few weeks now. Can't seem to get time to finish it up. I have a new Chorus FD that I've been needing to put on, as well as the Assiomas. Still have to swap those old dry rotted tires off too.

Love those carbon dura ace cranks.
Is there a reason all that seatpost isn't being clamped?

It is hardly clamped in there. I have it closed so it doesn't get knocked out. I really don't like clamping bikes in there tight regardless of what it is. I can clamp all of my bikes on the top tube but not the seat tube, so that's my generic clamp position too.

Replacing a failed DT on my friends 40 year old Pinarello. He actually had it re-finished about two years ago, no crack visible at the time it was done. Started riding it casually, and........................ Should have it done soon, lots of other projects keeping me busy.

yikes, that's a lot of corrosion on the head tube. I guess you made a judgement call that there was enough material left to clean up and re-braze a new lug on?

In case you guys were wondering why I've been looking for vintage parts recently...

It was a whole bike, and so pretty and original, I couldn't help myself and I bought it. When I received it and started taking it apart, I realized that every bearing needed renewal. It's okay though, I don't mind this winter project.

It was one of the last bikes to come off the Carlton Worksop assembly line, a 1980 Carlton Super Course. The Worksop factory was closed in 1981.

Here's a picture from the ad. I'll be making some changes to it, but I'm trying to maintain the vintage vibe and continue to use DT shifters and 6 speed freewheel (except much wider range).

Actually, the head tube was in better shape than it appeared. I didn't torch rhe lug off, just filed and sanded it. Save the next round of heat for putting it back together. Kinda surprised no vent hole in it when constructed. I will also add, he wasn't a very good steward of the bike. I'll post pics when brazed.

Born in Aug 2001, I found this beauty in formidable condition. Not a single spot of corrosion, no scratches, no dents, headset complete and clean.
I will replace the fork with a Columbus Futura SL (came yesterday from paintshop and is spot on). Build will be:
- Red AXS 12
- AX Lightness cockpit and seating area
- DT 240/Chinese rims tubular.
Should come out below 7kg

Just getting this guy started up! I really want to swap the fork for a full carbon fork since it'll likely shave off atleast half a pound if not more, but I love the paint scheme. Probably a decision for future me!

Super stoked to get this thing together. I can't wait to ride it!

It's a Genesis equilibrium disc. Decided to buy the frame after selling my Fairlight.

Working on two Davidson's

One needs new top tube. Frame builder in Seattle fixing that. Than local friend will resray the frame
second Davison is complete Modifying to flat bars has it is for my Grand daughter

I had the same model in the off white color option. It was my first road bike. Fast and fun ride but quite stiff.

Engin in my basement

This lonely Engin MTB frame was acquired last Summer, and is slowly being transformed into a Monstercross machine. I keep throwing gears and a cluster on it then think maybe a SS might be better? Decisions decisions. . .

Just waiting on tires and bar wrap. Anxious to get this one out on the road! Expecting a couple inches of snow this weekend, so probably won't be till next week. Guess I should've finished up the Fort Foco cross bike first.

Should end up a touch over 16 lbs complete.
