Stanton Sherp Ti Gen 3 (2023) with blasted decals. Long story, had issues, but they seem to be resolved.

I'm not a great mechanic, and don't enjoy building bikes, but I do so in order that I can fix things in the field. Not issues which I can ride home with and take to my LBS, but issues which have to be fixed in the field, the alternative to which is a Long Walk.

I somehow forgot to order brake levers, which will be incoming via my LBS. The only issue I have there is that they put in orders every so often, which means that the levers will be here in about two weeks, when I could buy them from a forum sponsor for the same price in much less time.

Oh well.

Reeb Sam's Pants

Current project in the stand. (more than 1 project, only 1 stand)
Reeb Sam's Pants gravel bike. For my first build of this frameset, I am going to go all mechanical, but subject to change. Mostly built up so far with parts from projects that did not get used. Astral Wanderlust wheels with White Industries hubset, Paul Component Klampers, GX 10-50 cassette, leftover XO1 deraileur, some 42 Maxxis Ramblers that may be a bit worn down, gevenalle brake shifter combo that I never used. Not too sure on this shifter. I have small hands and usually ride in the drops, so probably a ratio technology kit in the future. Got to pull the trigger on a crankset and get it cabled up and should be ready to ride.

The crankset from White Industries just arrived a few days ago, so I better get back on it. Been toying with a Bianchi frame that I wanted to look a certain way, but have not tracked down the appropriate parts over the last year, so today it got some Ultegra and Dura Ace that have been waiting for some unknown project and came off the stand for it's first ride. It rode great so the bling will come later. Thank you for getting me back to the Reeb.

Something a little different for me...

Got a fantastic Foco steel deal from Liberace and TRP's from C40_guy, thank you very much! Off went the Campy and getting ready to Sramify.

Stem rise looks a little goofy, but I think it's in about the right spot. Should have it all built and in use shortly.

Anyone have an extra Stronglight ActivLink BB in Italian thread? Would like to use a Pulsion if I can.

What's in my work stand is still the darn Supersix waiting desperately for a bottom bracket! The Cannondale OEM unit from the UK (really Germany it turns out) got "Held in Customs" for 1-1/2 weeks which ultimately meant they lost track of it. So I ordered a Wheel Mfg unit from eBay and it turned out the seller was out of town so it hadn't been shipped. Oh, and the nifty Shimano RD housing is also lost in space, having arrived at USPS in Providence on 1/6 and is "in transit to the next facility."

Sheesh.

1st world trouble

It poured buckets today so I got the chains off of five bikes, taken off, cleaned, and re-waxed in the crockpot, and back on the bikes.
