Definitely. Folks got me worried about cables self-destructing in Shimano shifters. So far, all the ones I’ve pulled look perfect. I have followed dddd’s advice to make sure I’m not shifting hard against the limit screws. I started a thread when I got the bike called Firefly #275 has arrived. Within that thread is a link to Joachim’s original thread, also in the Custom Bikes gallery.

Low-key ramble in the rain that somehow seemed fitting today. Lots to think about, lots to remember.
Great sunrise through the rain.   Low clouds lingering up the canyons.   Sun came out for a moment, revealing Mt. Timpanogos in the background.

I usually don't take many photos on my road rides but the bridge was closed and I had to get off to hop some barriers to get through to the next piece of open road.
This is Gilbert Stuart birthplace and museum. Kind of a typical scene for those of us who ride the rural routes in the north east. Maybe less common where you ride so I thought I'd share.
