106 today. Mostly grey skies, but much cooler than last week.

The dogs live on a corner lot and I think this is the 3rd generation of labs that like to run along the property line with me as I ride by. There were 3 at one point.

Thanks!

Copake, NY, from the top of Overlook Rd. Nice view of the tree farm (which is on both sides of the valley).

Couple of shots from Cino Heroica in Montana this past weekend. I attended but due top impending rotator cuff surgery (separated subscap) did not ride.
Gorgeous weather, challenging route, lotsa gravel. The green bike is Dave Kirk's personal ride.

new (to me) bike shakedown ride. Needs a tweak or two (like handlebar angle) but rides as one would expect.

Got out of work at noon. Decided that instead of doing a long km ride, I'd do a shorter ride on a route I really like. Up and down the escarpment a few times. Max speed of 71km, some gravel and generally just fun.

If you look really hard you can see the cn tower.

Field of sunflowers in Long Valley, NJ. They look like they took a beating from IDA. After all the tragedies of IDA the weather has been amazing the following three days.

Some strong NJ representation as we enter the best season for riding here. Spectacular weather since IDA indeed.

Surveyed more NJ damage today by bicycle. It's nuts out there, lots of people have what looks like the contents of their homes out on the curb. A number of people I have spoken to have reported never seeing a drop of water in their finished basements and this time they flooded out. Drywall is like a sponge too, sucks up water. Roads are in abysmal shape too. Over 100 miles this weekend on my Zanc and i'm literally amazed I didnt flat, there is SO much crap on the roads and shoulders in particular from floodwaters.

My Zanc has really been a workhorse lately, it's beyond filthy. Going to crack a few beers this afternoon and scrub it down.

(this is usually just a woodsy area, it is currently a swamp...)

(aforementioned filth...)
