Went to my usual spots hunting Chanterelles but after this drought none were to be found even though we finally got some rain. I found this one little fella but IDK what kind it is.

Cameras never do steepness of slope any justice. I've never been able to clear this going up and I don't dare try to ride it coming down.

My first post on this thread, I think

I also lean my bike against railings and when I went do my stretches I looked into the stream and saw a snake fishing
Never seen that before
The school of fish would attack the snake but the snake caught at least two or three before it took off
Maybe a cottonmouth also called water moccasins I think

I LOVE this thread! It is so cool seeing all of the different scenery, variety of bikes and a few faces too. Some amazing photography in here as well. Thanks to all that contribute.

Gravel grinder (60’ climbing over 40 miles) trying to beat the heat. Saw two owls, two bald eagles, a few road runners and had to turn course when a wild stallion looked up for a game of chicken.

Pasadena, CA area folks may recognize this spot — that’s the Rose Bowl down in the valley (the Arroyo Seco). That black speck in the sky is the Goodyear blimp, out for the UCLA game.

From a friend’s ride yesterday. Going from Stellenbosch, over a pass called Hellshoogte, towards Franshoek, Western Cape (RSA).

Hopefully the last cold front before we start getting warmer, longer days to summer.

Wheel Serenity

I was riding on a road today that I had been on many times before. I noticed a sign I had not seen before. I had to stop and take a picture because it is so appropriate to my bike world, and specifically, the bike I was on. It's actually a private drive and set off the road a bit. Coming from the other direction you don't see it unless you are looking.
