So humid today that I didn't really want to stop and take pictures as that's when the sweat really starts to roll!
I did grab one shot of the GP&GS Lemond though. I 've never taken any shots of it with how I currently have it setup. Those are some 1400 gram Zen Cyclery handbuilts on it that Roland made me back around 2010. They are still going strong without ever having a spoke touched. Not bad considering I've ridden these at over 210 lbs part of the time. They still spin sooooo smoothly too. The bike was dancing so sweetly under me today though and I'm thinking it's time to treat it to some nice lightweight and aero carbon tubulars. Last edited by jamesdak; 07-31-2021 at 06:29 PM. |

Well my views on today's ride just can't compare to Angry's above. But when you in the death throes of a drought overcast, stormy clouds are a wonderful sight to see.
And today's choice was the old Klein. I think I finally connected with it today as I managed a 19 mph avg with it over the 40 mile ride. It just kept getting faster and faster. |

I passed the 25000Km mark, yesterday, on my Ritchey Logic, since building the bike up in 2015. It’s not my only bike, but is the one I enjoy most outdoor rides on.
Here are some of the rides where this bike has been in the photo: Kilometer Zero - final check before riding An annual, four day tour from Johannesburg to Durban (770km, with day 4 being a 103km race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban). Joburg’s biggest mass participation race (94km, 17000 participants) Above is soon after the start of our second lap, giving us 188km for the day. Then later, just before the finish we met up with Louis Meintjes (who was riding for Lampre Merida at the time, and now with Intermache Wanty Gobert Materiaux). A late afternoon ride on a local Crit circuit My monochromatic ride A local favourite for elevation - a nature reserve called Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve. Suiker = Sugar, Bos = Bush, Rand = Edge, so SugarBushEdge. Yesterday’s milestone pic |

Will start sharing some older pics every week, and links to some other locals from their rides.
