fortunately had the forethought to take my Ritchey for a quick spin last week before taking off on vacation with it for a week. it had been sitting for quite a while unridden and this bike sees a lot of foul weather.
noted almost immediately a rough crunchy pedaling experience. i finally killed the DA bottom bracket. New PH stainless unit installed. should be good for another 50k miles now!

A 1978 Chris Kvale frame that I regretted selling, came back to me courtesy of a fellow forumite, to whom I am deeply grateful. We'll hit the road first thing tomorrow morning.

70s Bob Jackson that will fit big tires, but I'm not sure how I want to build it because it's 123 mm spaced.
In one of the other stands is a Cannondale CAAD2 which is from the first series of "CAAD" designated frames, 1997. It's a beautiful dark red color and in great condition. I'd normally try to put a bike like this back to original condition, but can't get exited about the stock RSX group. Perhaps just throw some Veloce 9 on it and call it good. |

Gorgeous.
I've owned four of these over the years and I have one frameset left. Will likely build it when I retire. |

Swapping out Sram Force 1x for Shimano GRX 2x on my Black Mountain Cycles MCD. In order to use the flat mount calipers needed to source ISO-FM adapters:
https://www.assolutions.ca So far, so good. One peculiarity is using the adapters necessitates going to 180/160 rotors. Still in the stand, but looking forward to seeing how it feels. Probably going to brake like whiplash. |

What's in the Workstand ? ?
Building up a platypus - aero, rim, direct-mount, level-TT, hand-made, non-integrated..

In the stand! Just gotta figure out how to do hydraulic setups.
Also I've always shortened a chain using the "small/small" method.. Smallest cog and small ring. Is that still ok with 12s ? It worked for me on 11s campy but just wondering if there's any surprises with 12s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Something a little different. I’m swapping out the lower linkage (connects the rear shock to the rear triangle. There’s a local company Cascade components that machines custom links which provide a more progressive suspension curve and reportedly small bump compliance.

Well, AS, I may just leave those downtube shifters on my DeRosa Neo Pro.
I am swapping the cassette (finding a used one that works, discarding some) on my Campy 8s Mondonico. Also have a '93 WTB Phoenix coming up!! Oh and an Ibis Titanium roadie that needs to be unpacked and screwed together!! Aside from that, my MTB needs sealant for the rear tire. First things first, my Lynskey is my daily rider, all good and dialed. |

Will it still be 120mm travel (it's a Tallboy, right?)? I've also really liked the way that VPP pedals, even in full open mode. I'll be curious if/how that changes. Also, does Santa Cruz say anything about frame warranty? Please report back? |
