March was a struggle for me. My interest in cycling dwindled further and further until I realized the culprit was that riding on Utah's Highways was just a little outside my comfort zone. Or, even if I was fine with the risk, I never really found it pleasurable. So I find myself way behind on my yearly mileage goal after this month...

However, two great things happened this month.

One, I got to ride Zion National Park, photos attached. It was lightly snowing so not the best weather, but not enough to detract from the epicness of it all. The best part was going up the old highway to the tunnel, and the super fun drop back down.

Two, I got to hike all over Bryce, Zion, The Wave, Arches, Canyonlands, Cap Reef, my own backyard, etc... Hopefully my cycling fitness hasn't decayed too far in my month of "cross training", the bay area shots on the last page have me excited for my destination next month!

edit- forgot to mention, this is the first place I've been where I've actually thought maybe gravel bikes might be nice to have.

From my ride up Weber Canyon yesterday. The Sandhill Cranes are a sure sign of Spring even if the lingering snow is not.

In-freaking-credible. Thank you for sharing. Come ride a dawn patrol when you are in the Bay Area.

Every time I open this thread I’m reminded that there are some really great places to ride with amazing views and scenery.

Thanks for sharing!

Not sure of the exact location, but I've probably been in the area, even though I'm from the wrong coast.

Awesome. Purely awesome.
