Suggestions for good Allroad bike from boutique brands

If you have a budget in mind, include it in the initial post! Preferably, include it in the thread title!

I can't tell you how many times I see similar threads where dozens of early suggestions are negated by a subsequent post by the OP saying "Oh, sorry, I can only spend $XXX."

A few dealers still have Gunnar frames in stock, like a Crosshairs (rim brakes) or a Hyper X (disc) that will build into the nicest allroad bike you could ever want. Also, a Hampsten frame and fork, full custom, will only set you back about $3,500, so if you don’t go crazy on the group set, you have a great custom for the price of off the shelf. OP, with the exchange rates, Japanese bikes make an attractive option..

Fly over, get measured, make your choices and fly back home waiting for a custom made steel or alloy bike to be delivered. You get a holiday and a bike for nearly the same money some of the US made bikes cost.

Panasonic an obvious choice but you can buy a Cheribum Gravel frameset for under 3K US$

Also agree with the need for more specifics upfront. I've updated the post. That said, y'all have really come through with the recs. I had no idea Stinner was doing their sale - as of right now that is probably what I'll go with.

I'd look at Wilde before Mash.

As cool as Mash is, a lot of their frames are on the stouter side, with the exception of the Santa Cruz Stigmata team CX bike from a decade ago.

I'm getting really tempted to order a Rambler. Stock sizing seems like it would work pretty darn well for me.

I tried to about a year ago, but they didnt have the largest size in stock and werent sure when it would be due to transitioning from having Waterford make frames to building them in-house.

A local small shop is all in on Wilde as a brand and partnered with them on a SSCX frame color that should deliver sometime late winter. Ive seen 3 prototype builds at the shop- pretty neat.
