This is a straight bar bike with no added length for handlebar and brake hood reach. You're only looking at 20-25mm more at most.

Side note: I noticed last night the 'Made in Cambodia' sticker on wife's new Trek Dual Sport Plus. I had no idea the big bike companies were having anything made there. I would have expected made in Taiwan as usual.

Factories in Cambodia and Vietnam opened before Covid and ramped up when China looked iffy. Specialized has an assembly partner there, too.

I was looking at the road bar version though.

A typical size 58, which I guess is equivalent to the XL going by their height chart, would have a reach in the 395mm area or about 4cm less. Perhaps they've only stuck a 5cm stem on the bike though.

You need to look for a specific stack and reach, not a frame size. In my case, it's the smallest size, but the stack height is about 40mm more than I'd want, so it's made to produce an upright fit. I'd need a 90mm stem to reduce the reach, instead of my usual 110.

I only see one geometry chart. The XL has 610 stack and 435 reach. The next size smaller is 596 stack and 420 reach.

Rode with my buddy yesterday on his new Specialized e-bike.

We put on about 30,000 miles riding together before my bad crash back in 2015. Strong rider; I usually drafted him for a good part of our rides.

He’s currently fighting cancer, diagnosed a few years ago and he just had a serious lung infection. Sold his Roubaix road bike shortly after his diagnosis with almost 50K miles on it.

Said he hadn’t opened his bike clothing drawer for three years…

Was great to see him out enjoying himself, dropping me easily a few times (just like the old days) when he put it in turbo mode.

I got a rouvida as well. It’s a hoot. It rides like a road bike. It’s like taking a spin class outside. You can adjust the power level to suit your needs. Really, really good.

I got my girlfriend a Salsa Confluence and now we ride Skyline Drive (VA) together. It’s brilliant. She gets a good workout and an adventure she would otherwise not be able to have without dozens of hours of training (for which she has neither the time or patience at the moment), and we get to ride together.

I was waiting for the next-gen road Creo but was just told that product is on hold while Specialized re-examines the market. They're doing fine with the Creo 2 e-gravel bike, apparently, and don't at this point see a need for a road companion.

I guess I got lucky. Seems like I got the last SWorks e-road (specific ) in my size. 26 pounds. The second generation weighs considerably more. Wasn’t cheap, but it will be the last bike I’ll ever need.

I still don't think I've actually seen a drop-bar eBike in the wild yet.

But I think 75% of the bikes I see overall are eBikes at this point.

It's a very surreal thing as these people are going way way faster than they used to. All the people who you used to see moving along at 5-10mph are now hauling the mail at 15-20mph and they sure seem fast even compared to a road cyclist until we have a more wide open stretch where we start getting up to speeds beyond what the Class 2 bikes will boost to. In between lights they sure jump out fast.

Looks like Santa Cruz delivers this bike with both flat and drop bar builds. I bet they made the TT/reach a bit longer to accommodate that. The drop bar build comes with a 70mm stem (where a normal road bike would have a shorter TT/reach and a 100+mm stem, probably).
