...that rant post, which was in response to Huang's impartiality, sure seems like a 180 from what you intended then. |

Why has he been at many different places in the past few years?

to find a place that pays commensurate with experience I'd guess is pretty tough.

He was at Bikeradar for 10+ years, Cyclingtips for 7+ years. Then Outside began dismantling Cyclingtips, and he left to join Escape Collective, which was made up mostly of people who had been fired from CyclingTips. He was there a little more than a year, but I guess it wasn't a great fit.
But he certainly doesn't have a track record of rapid job-hopping.

He was with Bike Radar for 11 years then moved to CyclingTips and worked there for almost 8 years until it basically ceased to exist. His time at Escape Collective was a 1.5 years, so yeah that one was short.
But I wouldn't say he has been at many different places these last few years. It's really just 1 short term time, and that was due to his prior place going to hell. |

So 3 places in the same amount of years.

IIRC, when he joined Escape Collective he said it was a transitionary thing for him..

If you look at it without context, are unable to understand the reality that your situation inherently happens when a job last a short while, and count the job that he just announced as one of your places...then yeah he has been at many different places these last few years.

I haven’t payed close attention to most cycling media since the time he left Bike Radar/Cyclingnews. I found it odd that he has been shuffling around. |
