Roscoe

This is Roscoe, a toy fox terrier, he is 7 years old now. Everynight when we are done with supper he gets one of his balls and reminds me that the next half hour is his "Daddy" time to play.

That Roscoe sure is cute.

Unfortunately we lost our pal Jasper in November. Only six, and except for a little extra drool he was an excellent dog. Sweet and goofy, with a great big boy bark to alert us of any approaching solicitor. Miss that guy terribly.

This is my 11 year old Lab-Golden mix. His name is actually Vibes. Mostly good Vibes but occasionally some bad Vibes. He was in training to be a guide dog and contracted meningitis, almost died, and then they pulled him out of the program. He has been the most wonder dog our family has ever had is happiest in the woods, water and snow. He has been with us on all of our family canoe trips, winter camping, and every other adventure. Still fit and healthy but slowing down a bit.

That is comically cute!

This is Bruno - 1yr and 3mo - he’s the centre of our family and a joy to be with!

I thought it was a Prius. Also is that an empty latte cup in the back seat? 😂

The Volvo photo reminds me that we need to resolve travelling issues with Bruno. We started the bad habit of letting him sit with us and now he stands on the back seat with his front paws on the armrests - head right beside us. It’s pretty adorable and you get an unexpected facelick every once in a while, but in an accident, we are both in trouble.

If we put him in back of the Subaru, he just jumps over immediately, so we need a gate, but after over a year of no discipline, I suspect all we will hear is barking!

The first time I put our first Bouv, Stella, into the back of my Audi Allroad, with the barrier up, by the time I closed the hatch and was about to get in she was already sitting in the driver's seat. Over time she grudgingly accepted that she had to sit in the back seat, but the way back was a complete non-starter.

Gorgeous Staff @Kirk.

Just realised I haven't posted my family dogs from back home. Maybe not the best photo but I like it. Captures their docile nature. Both Staff mix's. Dino on the left and Cara on the right. We got Dino when I was 16 so I lived with him for two years before I moved out. I've never lived with Cara so I am not as close to her but I miss Dino every day. I haven't seen him since 2019 and it breaks my heart. He has a really big tumor in his belly that the vet says isn't affecting his quality of life. It's sad. He's in his last days and I'm not quite sure what my mum is going to do when he passes. She's at the awkward age where getting another dog could mean the dog is still alive when my mum dies. Ugh. Life....
