I'm loving your insta feed. How does the Sony go for battery life in the cold weather?

It is.... ok. Last year it would hold no more than a hour if temperatures were cold ~5C. I bought a new battery and it does fine for what I am doing but cold weather does cause to battery to still drain quicker.

Houston's right that they'll die fast when cold.

When I shoot with Sony mirrorless while backpacking in the cold, I swap between one battery in the camera and one battery tucked next to my body. If the battery in the camera drops below 50%, I trade them out. As the original battery warms back up, it will regain some life.

CA highway 33

Have been meaning to ride Maricopa Highway (33) from Ventura to the Pine Mountain summit for a while, finally got around to it yesterday. Lots of snow to be seen, a surprising amount of traffic though mostly considerate. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Long, steady climb with I think only one section over 6% so I gave my small ring the day off.

I was fortunate enough to get a couple weeks of nice ice riding in.

Now, with the new snow currently falling (12"+), there is a good chance it's done for the season.

Awesome. I was hoping for a new picture from you today! I've got plenty of snow to look at around here! How about one snow shot? Do skis count as a "ride"? I did skin up for the sunrise (our family does this twice a week).
