VW to kill off the Golf Wagon

I was at the dealer yesterday having my '16 Sportwagon serviced (routine) and I can confirm the VW wagons are dead. No 2020s!!

Looks so badass! Hoop the design moves to the allroad.

Excited for this development, but the RS6 is a little rich for my cost of living here in SF. I hope this eventually gets them to trickle down and release and RS4 Avant, and an RS3 Avant....or even just a S3 Avant.

The new Audi RS6 Avant heading to the North America market looks cool.
Given our crumbling roadways and bridges my hope is that they offer something with meatier tires...even as an AllRoad variant as others have mentioned.

I really want a B8 avant but, you know, they are long gone and i'm just not a fan of the allroad, even though they are based on the same estate.

I've been struggling to find a replacement for my avant and looking elsewhere, but there really are no options that i'm in love with.
Just saw this today: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/auto...cid=spartanntp

"The Audi RS 6 Avant is the 600-HP Wagon of Your Dreams, and it's Coming to the U.S. "

YIKES...interesting that 'we' have gone from pretty reasonable performance Jetta/Golf port Wagens to this..really keen but...what, 3-4 times the $ of the GSW? Firmly in the M-B E class wagon class..again..

The A6 or even S6 Avants would be far better choices for most of us. And, I'm guessing, more in the price range of the AMG E-class than the plain old ordinary E-class wagon.

That is really too bad! The Passat Wagon over in Europe right now is super nice and never made it here as well.

All these automakers are going to go full SUV just in time for the economy to tank and gas prices to go up again. It's going to be 2008-2009 all over again. It's so damn short sighted!

Just realized I want a Tesla Model 3 wagon when that day hits. An eGolf Wagon or ePassat would be great too if it ever happens in the US and was competitive.

Audi RS6 Avant.
It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

I'd rather have the RS4 variant. I get it though.. Audi is trying to dip into the Merc Wagon domination with the E Wagon.

I agree, and would love a S6 Avant...except nobody wants them, except a few enthusiasts.
The Q's are dealership bread and butter.

RS6 Avant is a good choice.Stunning, low volume, halo car, and can test the real interest in wagons to see if the market changed at all.

I would love to have the RS6A but over $100k easy...ouch. Sure to be collector car though.
