Thanks for the tip. Didn't hit Russian Ridge but went a bit south of that to Black Mountain/Monte Bello today.

For my birthday yesterday I was gifted near-perfect weather. Kept up my tradition of at least one mile and 100 feet of elevation for each year on the planet, happy to be able to well exceed both.

The Oaks and OGs ride.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_Joseph_McGhee Timothy Joseph McGhee (born April 27, 1973) is a convicted serial killer and Toonerville Rifa 13 gang member of Scottish and Mexican descent from the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. He is alleged to have been responsible for at least 12 homicides between 1997 and 2001, three of which led to convictions. McGhee is also suspected of at least 10 attempted murders, four of which led to convictions.[1] In 2018, the Los Angeles Times named McGhee one of the top 20 most notorious killers in the history of California, a list that included the likes of Charles Manson, the Golden State Killer, and the Night Stalker.[2] Last edited by barnabyjones; 12-08-2020 at 05:38 PM. |

Both in the Santa Monica mountains. The first is on Mulholland Highway, at the top of the closed section, and the second is on Piuma Road, at an overlook just beginning the descent from the summit toward PCH.
More specifically, approximately at miles 34.1 and 53.2, respectively, on this route. |

Photos from your rides.
This is Virginia? It looks very similar to views from Mt Diablo in the SF Bay Area. Last edited by MikeD; 12-13-2020 at 11:52 AM. |
