CA central coast

Just back from a long weekend of riding in San Luis Obispo and the Santa Ynez valley, with route assistance from @Steve in SLO and @mhespenheide. A lot of new terrain for me and the one familiar route I did in reverse orientation. Excellent all around, happy to provide routes.

Pozo Rd out of Santa Margarita

Top of Prefumo Canyon

Climbing up Figueroa Mountain

View south from Figueroa Mountain

Jalama Beach

Mt. Tamalpais - Stinson Beach

Beautiful day for a Sunday ride up Tam, a view of San Francisco and the far East Bay, through Muir woods and back to Stinson Beach

Nice scenery. But what, pray tell, are the orange things inside the rim? Reflectors for night riding? Coolness factor? I'm stumped.

Orange Gorilla tape. The tires are set up tubeless.

You did that tape job yourself? It's certainly not my cup of tea, but it looks to be very well done indeed. Kudos!

It was actually set up this way by the original owner. I figure it gives the snowmobiles something to notice from a distance.

This is a two-fer post - pic from the ride and repost on the new Zondas! Like them a lot - work great on a really windy (crosswind) day...

Gay Head Light. Perfect weather, mid-50Fs, not too much wind. Hoped for a metric but ran over something at 53 miles that cut the rear tire up good! Wife retrieved me...

Had wonderful work and play weather here in Ohio for the last couple weeks. This weekend sucks with 40's and rain. Probably coming your way. Enjoy the sun and fun while you can.
