The bottle cages and matching pedals tie the whole room together nicely.
Well done! |

Nice! I built up one of those for a pal with 42s. The frame was fairly light and came together really nicely. Didn’t realize it goes up to 48 mm clearance!

Ritchey Ti Cross - Breakaway
CFD6CC3D-E9AA-4303-BB83-FA1332A2C542.jpeg
My Ritchey Ti Cross Breakaway in travel bike mode…built up with left-over Rival 2x11 with the useful/practical Ritchey Zeta II wheels set up in “road-ish” mode (Michelins Pro4 Endurance). Finishing kit is Ritchey stem/seatpost and an old Salsa dropbar and used Concor Light saddle. Handles smooth and rough stuff just fine and takes me out and about the rural roads when I visit family in France. A year+ back moved to Velo Orange Grand Cru cantis which are easy to use and make break-down/set-up a snap when disassembling and building up in the Breakaway case. Currently using my oldest SPD pedals which is also handy for travel riding. While set up more “roadie” than gravel, I have another wheelset with PR GKs 38c that handles even rougher stuff as well as doing double duty as a winter bike back in the mid-Atlantic. |

Yep, it easily clears 48mm although I think it'd be difficult to get fenders on at that width. This setup works great for gravel roads but any fire roads or single track make it feel very out of its element very quickly.

Love it. I was seriously considering going with an Outback recently but it was a bit out of my price range so went with a Jamis Renegade S2. What have you got for wheelsets? Been considering getting a second pair to swap for different conditions and routes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is that due to the flexy frame and? stem when things start getting hairy? and perhaps the filetreads?
