[QUOTE=charliedid;2738782]It's a talent.
And to top it off another trade genius, drove a punctured bag of concrete up the steep half mile long hill into my neighborhood. Nothing like 10% in Quickcrete... |

Brucehappy - Where were you riding in MD? That first photo looks very similar to a some of the fields rode past yesterday around Boyds (maybe Slidell Rd.?). Was a beautiful day for riding, but I'm too lazy to take out a camera!

Sub 12 hour overnighter in Mark Twain Nat’l Forest. Left after the kiddos went to bed and got home as they were getting up. About 50mi round trip ride.

Photos from your rides.
Took the new acquisition down to Rock Creek. Got a great deal from a local the other day (if you’re here Joselito, you are awesome). After a hiatus from lugged steel, I’m glad I’m back. It’s a mile muncher.

Yes it is...I love riding these farm roads.

I live in Walkersville in central Frederick county and start/end all my rides there. The top picture is from Stauffer Road in Walkersville. Generally my rides are bounded by Walkersville, Thurmont, Middleburg, and Unionville. I plan my routes to stay on unmarked farm roads as much as possible. Roads that are named after people or mills are always a good bet. I'm riding on the same Giant hybrid I bought used in 2015 when I decided to try this cycling thing as an adult. Looking forward to building up a Salsa Warbird frame I got used last year so I can expand my range into Gambrills and the Frederick Watershed trails without underbiking |

i'm torn between whether this looks awesome or terrifying? on one hand the roads look awesome, twisty and fun, on the other, it looks drier than a desert and hot? where are we here?

Howland Hill Road, Redwood National Park. Currently closed to cars and a fabulous little out-and-back on the bike. |
