I am clearly not a fan (most recently watching him at Roma), but he might be a good national team manager - as he does do well in tournaments.

Nope. Don't need his drama.
Could you imagine him after a typical CONCACAF match with all the shenanigans? He'd lose his mind. Personally, I think he is 15 years past his sell date.

Damn - Tyler Adams is having back surgery - that is never good.

Sacre Mierda!
Poch appears to be the next manager. He did a wonderful job at Southampton and earlier at Tottenham, though there's not much to write home about afterwards. This could be beneficial for both the players and Poch himself. |

Poch is an interesting choice.
It does do 2 things - he has no ties with the inner circle of US Soccer (that's a good thing) - If nothing else, it raises expectations & visibility for the program. Everyone should expect more & better results. I'm pleasantly surprised by his hiring.

But there's a snowball's chance in hell that Herr Klopp takes the USMNT job. I think he becomes the next bundestrainer für die mannschaft. Is the other Berhalter brother still on the executive team at USSoccer? |

Good question! I'd love to know this. Personally, I think Greggs brother should be fired too. Some may say, Matt Crocker also doesn't deserve his job. But I digress....

Klopp also reportedly turned down the England job, so I wouldn't get too worked up about his not wanting to coach the USMNT. He has stated he wants a year off.

Well I don't know but so far he has hired Emma Hayes and Poch to be the coach of their respective teams. Not bad. |

Yes, but that is reactive to the decision to keep Gregg....One can't sweep past bad decisions under the rug, though these 2 new decisions, do help people forget. If nepotism wasn't in play, we may have had Marsch, at the very least, or Henry, etc.

I don't believe that Marsch or Henry ( and I am a Gunner fan) would have better results. Marsch has not been successful at top level stops and Henry finally did well in the Olympics but that was home soil and they did lose the final.
