My wife and I rode the length of the Oregon coast from Astoria OR to Crescent City Cali a few weeks back. This is how we started each day, laying in bed watching the Tour de France before getting packed, heading to breakfast and hitting the road. This particular hotel was in Gold Beach OR.

three friends of mine and i did that a few years back. we did it first of oct, low traffic, and had 5 days of glorious sunshine, low wind, on the greatest ribbon of asphalt and scenery in this country.
i'd guess your traffic count was a touch higher.

I really wish Haute Savoie and Switzerland were closer; those are wonderful roads you ride there. And that double-track! Superbe!

Nah...you know in Lincoln Woods you either go down or up That's a short dirt road that goes along the Blackstone Valley path.

Nice bunch of pics, but on my rides, I'm doing good to hang onto the back of the pack. It's kind of hard to hang on, much less take a picture. Heck, I never take a camera with me, anyway. Besides, I don't have one of those fancy phones that takes all those great pictures. My phone only makes phone calls.
