That ritchey is begging for a black nitto steel stem and matching bar.

Just finished up this 1974 Raleigh. One of the sweetest older bikes I've ever ridden

After reading the WI vs PHIL thread I felt the urge to finally replace my T11 hub bearings. I was able to source NTN and IJK bearings locally which is great; I even took a little cruise across town to pick them up!
All in, parts cost was $80.00 which is expensive compared to the Enduro brand that WI specs for their hubs but I really don't mind because they're being installed on a high-mileage workhorse and all-time favorite bike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg8Nkrx5kiY Last edited by hummus_aquinas; 02-06-2021 at 12:52 PM. |

What's in the Workstand ? ?
Rode it to the coffee shop today and loved it. I tend to move things along, but this may stay for a spell. Could be the go-to for rides with the kids and around town. And it at least invites me to dream about a tour. Need to keep my eyes open for vintage touring bags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Cool lobster! Nice curve on that fork—looks like a lot of offset—is this one low trail? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Torelli Countach. Pretty much done swapping it from Ultegra 18 speed to Dura Ace 20 speed. 50/34t Crankset with an 11-28t cassette. |

Nice snowy day project: In the spring I had November Bicycles build me a new set of wheels: green Industry Nine hubs for disc brakes, HED rims (the new "Eroica" or whatever name they've changed it to), RH knobby 38s. The wheels and my Firefly lived in a separate location from me while we were staying in Newport for most of the year (long Covid-related story), so I've only thrown them on the bike once before for a ride around the neighborhood. They look like they'll be super--they're now on the bike ready for gravel adventures the rest of this winter into the spring. Last photo is a Yeti tumbler from WBR for being on one of their advisory boards.

Almost there--bar tape, new bb cinch ring, different rear derailleur and it should be ready for a shakeout spin. This is the first time I have built a bike. Last edited by RWL2222; 02-09-2021 at 02:20 PM. |

Last winter I had a Serotta Ottrott GS frame which I purchased from Mac Lynch / Cool Planet Bikes. It spent a couple of months in the stand while I built it up. This winter I have another frame in the stand I'm building up. Here are some teaser photos.
Hint: It's another Ti Carbon hybrid frame. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk Last edited by Krenovian; 02-10-2021 at 12:59 PM. |
