That said, Tesla does usually get batteries and powertrains right. Not a Cybertruck guy here, but my Y has a flawless battery and powertrain thus far. That may change tomorrow, but I am optimistic, at least WRT that stuff. |

Sure...at that point it's just a device. Elon...a total tool. A wiper has more utility than that particular human

I had an early 90's Mercedes that had a single wiper that worked really well. When it started to rain I used to say, "engage the eins viper." When done well it works. But yeah it's a Deplorian so probably not.

Irvine, CA, police department has one now spending $140k (or $150k according to some reports). That wouldn't go well around here.

same here
95 and it worked great--everyone who watched it loved it. Never failed; in fact, that car went to my brother and ran well until Indiana road salt started to rust it, but the wiper was going strong.

I work at a private school and see quite a collection of high end mobiles at drop-off and pick up (Maybach, all the Teslas, Porsches gallore). Cybertruck pulled up on Thursday and I'm like "how do I open it"? Guy (of course it's a guy - would a woman buy that thing?) gets out to show me. He says "I brought the refrigerator today!"
Now I'm ready for Monday, bring it on! |

The term “faster backwards” does spring to mind here.
I’m seeing more and more of them in my neck of the woods so they must be selling. Looks aside, time will tell on the reliability/longevity of the design. I do have to say all the hand wringing about the maker is tiring and poor forum form. W. |

Is it, though? If we were talking about a frame builder whose unreliability impacted buyers' experiences, I think that would be acceptable. For me, Musk's poorly considered , knee-jerk decision making is a turn off for someone who would be a natural audience for his product. This is separate from his political views. Which I also abhor.

They sure seem to be selling here. There was one at the trailhead yesterday. More green than driving a big ICE truck to the trailhead, but there were a lot of us who had them beat because we’d just rode our bikes there.
