Thanks Dan. I think I got those wheels from you. Best carbon rim brake wheels to be had, IMO.

Topeak Feza> yes.

I've always been a bit of a Pegoretti geek. For some reason that I can't quantify the aesthetic of Pegs is something unique that no other bike has.
I searched for a solid year and a half, (not exaggerating) to find a Marcelo in 50cm. Finally I had one on the container en route to Gita and I snatched it up before it ever hit the east coast of the US.

I chose the Marcelo because I like the rear dropouts better then the Duende and it was significantly cheaper than the Respo. At the time, the new Love #3 and the Round didn't exist.

I'll probably never sell it even though I have other bikes that fit me better. It goes like a race bike should, and I love steel bikes. The Marcelo is distinct in it's ride, handling and manners. It's a gas to ride.

The only way I would contemplate selling it would be if I could lay my hands on a Round. But since I've never even seen a Round in 50cm it probably won't happen.

I’ve bought and sold a lot of bikes and had a Responsorium and Day is Done. I’ve only regretted selling the Pegs (and we’re talking about a lot of bikes passing through my garage!).

Here is my Peg Duende. Someone can try to pry it from my cold dead hands in 20 years or so maybe. "Arrows" paint scheme.

I was fortunate that mine had an Ouzo Pro fork on it. Plenty stiff for my 160 lbs (at the time).

I used to have a duende with the arrows paint. To respond to the OPs question: I’m an idiot.

This. About to get my second, I'd live in my car before moving one of them.
