Gulf paraffin from the grocery store plus super secret scrape-off from waxing skis including a proprietary blend of Swix universal blue and universal green. So cheap it's almost free. Seems to work really well but would I know if it didn't? Nope. Chain and bike stay clean and quiet.

not being a skier, I have no idea what this means.. are you scraping something off skis, is that just a name.. is the blend so secret you can't share it?

also, how many miles do you think you get before you need to re-apply? I've been curious if there is a difference in milage between the home brews and the branded stuff..

I'm slow today. I finally figured out what DGAF stands for.

Bravo! Can I change my vote?

I have used super secret and parafinn

Both work well, the clean advantages are worth it, I rewax every 300 miles, so a bit of a PIA, but easy to do, so clean.

I will just use parafinn when the silca stuff runs out.

ZFC has value, just put 4k miles on a SRAM chain, no stretch at all

Sorry, a little inside baseball there. When you wax skis, you immediately scrape off around half of what you put on. It’s a nice way to reuse waste. And those are the two most basic waxes there are. I can’t think it makes it much different than any other wax.
