Is the +10k starting Ultegra cabled or Di2? Cabled I'd bet.

Just a personal observation. Even Lynskey has tapered HTs, the straight beer can 44HT for even 1/2 this price point... is going to doom this itself. IMO

Shoulda done some 3D or sexy HT. Look for a discontinued model in record time.

fwiw...this bike is completely unremarkable

nothing new for construction, design, features...and its expensive...i dont get it.

I suspect the target audience for this bike is the relatively casual rider with disposable income who wants a Moots, but is otherwise blind to considerations like HT dimensions or the differences between Rival/Force/Red. They just want a Moots and this is the most reasonable price of admission. I think they'll sell plenty of these. I also think there will be a lot of these on Facebook, Craigslist, etc. in the coming years with $6500 asking prices and "like new" or "hardly ridden" in the description.

I'd bet that new Ultegra is only Di2.

I think the actually interesting thing about this new bike hasn't really been discussed here, and that's the 38mm tire clearance. I'm actually curious what the real world clearance is.

This is a new development for Moots, and something without a parallel in the Lynskey or Litespeed catalog.

Frankly, I think this is the kind of road bike that most people who aren't actually racing would really like, a bike which is at home on the road, but, with another wheel set is capable of most "gravel" in most parts of the world.

I had Habanero build me such a bike about a year ago, built around 32mm tires, but with clearance for up to ~42mm or so, with anti studs and Paul Mini Motos. Had this bike existed then, and was available as just a framset, I might have bought the moots.

Yeah looking at this more they already built this bike in 2018 with the Disc Road and just expanded the tire clearance by 8mm and replaced the regular flat mount drop outs with the 3d printed version.

I was thinking it's more like the original Routt, but with flat mount brakes.

If I may inquire, you didn't go disc on the custom Hab, but you'd have got this disc Moots? FWIW, my fav part of my Moots RSL/CX is the Canti studs and Paul's Mini Moto.
