Orbea Terra models are really well equipped and not a common brand in the USA.

Argonaut for carbon. Moots makes several models at different price points for 35mm tires. No. 22 is amazing too.

Those won't meet the OP's budget criteria

You should check out the All Road bikes built at Mariposa bikes. Custom steel.

https://mariposabicycles.ca/

Great people. Knowledgeable and easy to work with. Beautiful bikes.

Here's an example:

Litespeed Cherohala Ti. Frame and fork for $2840 or a 105 bike for a shade over $4K. Fits tires up to 38mm. Very happy with my Ultegra Di2 version with HED Ardennes and 32mm tires, though had 105 Di2 been available at the time, I probably would have saved a few bucks. Litespeed has sales all the time, so sign up for their email list. Not uncommon to see 20-25% off.

Interesting if they can pull it off. Price competitive with Ritchey and several models that Gunnar left vacant when Richard & company retired.

4. Standert

Anyone know of any others?
There are tons. Places like Tommasini or Daccordi can make you a steel, stainless steel, or titanium bike pretty much as you want - geometry and paint up to you. I would also say, don't limit yourself to 35mm tires - go up to 42mm.

Sorry, should have read full post. Those will be out of your price range!

Stinner is releasing some non-custom frames this month, steel or titanium within your budget. https://www.stinnerframeworks.com/co...l-landing-page

I'd look into fat chance and independent fabrications. Both appear to be right around 3k for a steel frameset.

Zoinks, $1695 for a frame? Like it is 2004!

Or Dave Kirk. He'll make you anything you want and his prices are very reasonable for a full custom.

Bill Davidson is still building, but only in titanium. Don't know his current pricing, but in the past he has been somewhat lower than most.

I'm surprised . . .

. . . this wasn't the first mentioned. Every No22 I've seen is like a work of art.

If No22 is willing to cut their frame price in half, it could work for the OP.

I read about these, but it took a lot of effort to find the geometry for their AR and Gravel frames. And it doesnt give details about if a fork is included, what paint is included, etc.
I get that the frames are listed as 'coming soon', but their audience is a group who nerds out on info...provide some.
