Mind my asking, what is the geo on this frame? Fork rake? This will be the first time I've gone custom with a steel fork and I'm noticing how the various bending radii of the fork blades catch my eye. I find a low and tight radius to be very off-putting, but this curve looks proper.

The whole question of whether an electronic group would be proper on a bike like this is entirely overshadowed by how damned good Di2 shifting has been for me. Having done some SF climbs on various groupsets, now ranging from C10 to 12sp Di2, shifting under load (specifically, climbing) tells you all you need to know about groupset advancements in the past 20 years.

Sorry, don't know the fork rake--I don't tend to drill down to that level of detail, that's up to Richard totally. If it's helpful, I can tell you that the top tube (c-to-c) is 57cm, the stem is a 120, and the saddle height to the crank axle is 77cm. I have steel forked customs from Richard and Dave Kirk and both have that same graceful curve. There may be subtle differences, but for my Kirks (which are identical in size to the RS), I do know that Dave uses a rake of 45.00mm, but of course none of these measurements exist in isolation. Perhaps I'm beating the point to death, but knowing the fork rake alone does not tell you a heck of a lot. [On edit, I realize you were also asking for geo, which I don't have.] HTH, Tim

Just have RS build the bike for you. This is the way.

Slightly off topic, I found it interesting that RS, in a recent post, mentioned that the only road bike he rides now is a Peg Marcelo. It did cross my mind, why not ride one of your own bikes? But he's probably been there, done that for a long time and was ready for something different.
Yeah, for me it will be SR12. Wheels still unclear.

To solve the reliability issue, Chorus instead of Record since carbon fiber content on the derailleurs may be troublesome, long term. But consider substituting Record brifters and brake calipers (rim) to shave a few grams and add some bling.

Wheels…….Zonda for reliability/longevity or Bora for performance but there are many other excellent options.

Mechanical SR12 with 11-speed first generation crank for superior aesthetics.

Does this combination work? 11s crank can drive a 12 chain (either Shimano or Campag)?

The List is dead. Or at least completely worked through.
Now he opens his commission book once a year to take orders.
Keep an eye on his web site for openings.

Don't forget to leave the orange sticker on the crank.

Did a ton of Insta-research and combing over pics on the vsalon... I really dig the chainstay manipulation that was done on DarrenCT's second Sachs. Oddly, I am still leaning heavily towards 12sp Dura Ace Di2 with a THM crank. 9250 Shifters might be one of those things to stash early on, since Shimano basically made them as a concession, not because they wanted to.

I would get the new SRAM Red coming soon, by the time you get the frame the Dura Ace will be redundant.
