Owing to the limited and very complicated production of our latest creation, only selected requests will be considered. To express your interest in acquiring this extraordinary piece, kindly contact us via email, accompanied by a photograph of your bicycle. Should your masterpiece reflect the exceptional calibre of our design, you may be extended a personal invitation to purchase.

just threw up in my mouth a little.

How is this any different than anything else?

I know a dude that spent $50K++ upgrading a Toyota Tacoma

To qualify to get on the list to purchase a Porsche GT3RS you have to have purchased a bunch of other Porsches at that dealership

If you'd like to buy a Ford GT you have to send an application

People love this exclusive shyt!

Except Birkin bags go up in value after 5 years, whereas an OSPW……probably close to worthless in value.

At least Porsche is trying to discourage flipping. Resale on these is quite a bit higher than the new sales price.

...Definitely not the case with absolute black.

But it's the same basic premise of marketing. Limit the supply and charge an exorbitant amount for a product to create a demand because of the "exclusivity". Try to make it a Veblen item, as goofy as it is for an OSPW.

Should I post an image of my $100k T**** watch?

Or would you prefer my Richard Mille?

I knew something similar had to exist:

20 bucks and you too can go big....saving hundreds, thousands even!

And of course you can even save a gram or two by not having the rest of the "peed" in the logo, like the $2k Ceramicspeed item....

Do you think that Gaulzetti in the Classifieds would be worthy of such a piece of bicycle exclusivity? Given, it's rim brake and this thing is for 9200 only, but it belonged to the the Jerk, right? Maybe they'll make an exception.

It’s not and that’s the problem. I hate it when Porsche conjures up the 50th iteration of the 911 and then limits it to influencers. They learned it from Ferrari and seem to be getting away with it. I gather that Rolex has played the same games for years.

Maybe Absolute Black will fail and get whacked but my guess is no one will notice.

But people (we) fall for it. Proven throughout time.

I just sent them a photo of my 1981 Peugeot and asked for the necessary modifications to mount to a Simplex Super LJ rear derailleur. We’ll see where this goes….

I have a couple of special edition Ceramic Speed rear pulleys that were originally around $900 and another that came on my Domane. The $900 pulleys clearly didn't sell at that price and were around $170 when I picked them up. I like the way they look and function, but they certainly don't make my fat a$$ any faster.

I don't see this pulley as any more ridiculous than the No22 Reactor. I saw the raw product prior to the finish work and although it's an interesting concept I found it ugly, devoid of any soul and find it laughable that phasing out the labor force with an Asian made 3d printed titanium frame at over 15k is the next big thing.

I think the unfinished look that the 3d printed bits put on bikes look like $#!+ personally. I love the welded bikes and would take them 10 out of 10 times over the 3d printed stuff. It just doesn't have any appeal to me.

At this stage the industry is pandering to the well heeled luxury market because the average person's credit has run out. The debt carried by the US citizen has risen up a staggering $1,700,000,000,000 over the past couple of years and these products are not for them.

When component manufacturers look to jockey wheels as the next boondoggle boutique $$$ product to convince people they must have, we're over the top.

They'll probably sell some though, or at least give them away to the influencers to take nice instagram photos of
They will sell 'em..PT Barnum would be very proud...
