Strange(?) Serotta Nova Special

I suspected that it wasn't a Serotta but didn't want to say it. Good to see evidence otherwise.

I can only reiterate that it is beyond my understanding why anyone would go to such expenditures of funds and effort to make a "fake" mid-line Serotta that has no particular value.

No, but the bike I posted is a Serotta with many identifying characteristics. The one you posted does not have any of the typical Serotta identifying marks. Maybe an early Nova or the like?

Ben is still in business and easy to get ahold of. I would be interested in what he or Jim Bethel have to say about this one. I would send them the pictures and see what they have to say!

I'm emailing him soon for some other early Serotta info, and will include the pic of your frame - will let you know when I hear. He's used to me bugging him, but can't hide!
