I find the individual pieces a little chintz and the thin wires a bit fiddly. Not a huge fan of the internal battery...especially when they're in the downtube instead of the seatpost...aero bikes
Di2 WAS groundbreaking.i would have thought this iteration would be different. Here we are plumbing bikes still. I guess my expectations have evolved in this regard On the plus is the bluetooth built in and a few less wires. But come on, a kit available only on aliexpress is more forward looking |

Does this combination work? 11s crank can drive a 12 chain (either Shimano or Campag)?

I didn't think Sachs was accepting orders.

Put a 27.2 dropper post on it and blow people’s minds.

The List is dead. Or at least completely worked through.
Now he opens his commission book once a year to take orders. Keep an eye on his web site for openings. |

To solve the reliability issue, Chorus instead of Record since carbon fiber content on the derailleurs may be troublesome, long term. But consider substituting Record brifters and brake calipers (rim) to shave a few grams and add some bling.
Wheels…….Zonda for reliability/longevity or Bora for performance but there are many other excellent options. Last edited by nickl; 05-13-2024 at 09:46 AM. |

I’m hoarding a new SR 12 mechanical groupset with Bora 45’s ready and patiently waiting for mine.

Don't forget to leave the orange sticker on the crank.

Did a ton of Insta-research and combing over pics on the vsalon... I really dig the chainstay manipulation that was done on DarrenCT's second Sachs. Oddly, I am still leaning heavily towards 12sp Dura Ace Di2 with a THM crank. 9250 Shifters might be one of those things to stash early on, since Shimano basically made them as a concession, not because they wanted to.
